IntuitiveRecords Beauty that holds up under the stage lights

About Intuitive Records

Intuitive Records is written from the side of the stage, not the front row. We are an independent online magazine about beauty that performs: makeup that doesn't melt under a lighting rig, hair that survives a two-hour set, and looks that still read true from the back of the venue. If you've ever done a final mirror check in a cramped dressing room while the opener was still playing, this magazine is for you.

Our mission

Most beauty advice is written for daylight, desk jobs and dinner dates. Stage conditions are different. Heat, sweat, movement, quick changes, harsh light and long hours break ordinary routines fast. Our mission is simple: test, document and share what actually holds up when the pressure is on. We write for musicians, dancers, actors, drag artists, speakers and anyone getting ready for a big event where there is no time for touch-ups.

What we cover

Our coverage is organised into four sections, each with its own backstage logic:

How we work

Every look we publish has been worn under real or simulated stage conditions: heat lamps, movement tests, multi-hour wear checks. When we recommend a product, we tell you how long it lasted, what broke it down and what it costs to maintain mid-show. When something fails, we say so. We don't publish sponsored reviews dressed up as editorial, and we flag any gifted products clearly.

Our writers are working performers, makeup artists, hairstylists and backstage crew. They know the difference between a look that photographs well and a look that still exists after the encore. That practical, slightly sweaty expertise is the whole point of this magazine.

Who we're for

You might be fronting a band, performing in community theatre, giving a keynote, or getting married under hot summer sun. The common thread is stakes: one shot, no redo, all eyes on you. We write confidently because we've tested thoroughly, and we keep it practical because backstage time is always shorter than you think. Pull up a chair at the mirror. Let's get you stage-ready.
